The Slovak Parliament or National Council of Slovak Republic is the sole constitutional and legislative body of the Slovak Republic. It is single-chamber body and body of state authority. Members of the Parliament are elected by universal, equal and direct elections by secret ballot. There are 150 Members of Parliament elected for a four-year term.
National Council of Slovak Republic has powers, which are determined by its constitutional status. It is divided into legislative power, power of scrutiny, internal and foreign policy powers.
