Analýza románu The Adventures of Tom Sawyer od Marka Twaina
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a story about life of a young boy, set in the early 1800’s in Middle America. The majority of the novel takes place in small, poor village on the Mississipi River, where the novel’s protagonist, Tom, lives with his Aunt Polly, half-brother Sidney and Cousin Mary. It seems almost idyllic - peaceful, lazy, safe, almost like heaven - which is symbolised by its very name St. Petersburg. But though it might seem a paradise for a young, careless boy, the reality of adult people is not so idyllic.
