1. Introduction
The name of my seminary work is THE EURO. I have taken that topic, because nowadays it is very often spoken and written about it, especially in Slovakia. Slovakia is the next country, which is going to accept the Euro on January 2009. There is still a possibility that Slovakia will not meet the convergence criteria. According to economic experts from the EU, Slovakia will not have problems with the convergence criteria, but on the other hand, they are afraid, if Slovakia is capable to guarantee economic growth in next years. In the middle of the year 2008, European Commission says the final result if Slovakia is prepared to accept the currency of the EU – the Euro.
The main aim of my seminar work is to mention the advantages and disadvantages of the Euro and to answer the questions like – What other countries use the Euro...Way some other EU countries don’t use the Euro...etc..
