From an expat´s point of view, Slovakia is a very friendly place. The attitude of Slovaks to foreigners is very favourable. You can make friends here very easily. It's a place of great diversity. It's also a very beautiful country with a lot of differences in landscape and among towns. From a foreigner's perspective, you have all the comforts you would expect living in the West, and all the advantages of living in an exciting new country where there's a lot of change happening. You have all the advantages, of living in two worlds.
It tends to be quite a melting pot of nationalities, without a dominant group from any one particular country or industry. You tend to get people with a huge variety of backgrounds coming here in a wide variety of roles. Because the community is relatively small, it means you're interacting with all those people, which again is one of the best things about the country.
